Salty Paws
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped Michele with the Salty Paws event on October 17. It was a great day, and we collected $165 in donations. We also received a call from a potential Veteran looking for a companion dog.
Kudos to Michele and her helpers!
Pets for Vets Poker Run
The Pets for Vets Poker Run, which started and ended at Bid Harley in Statesville, NC, was a great success! The after-party was held at the VFW Post 2013.

The Forgotten Sons MC 5-Year Anniversary Party
Our thanks to Blake Simmons for organizing the Forgotten Sons MC 5-Year Anniversary Party that benefitted Pets for Vets Cape Fear. This amazing event had bands, a DJ, BBQ, vendors, biker games and a 50/50 raffle. Attendees brought tents, sleeping bags or just rode their bikes in and crashed out for the night in the camping area next to the Moose Lodge.
We appreciated all of your hard work and dedication and were overwhelmed to learn that the event raised over $3,750 for our organization. This donation will allow us to make a huge difference in the lives of Veterans suffering from PTSD.
Thank you, Blake Simmons, for organizing this event. Please pass along our heartfelt thanks to the members of your team.
Annual Battleship Splash Event
Members of Pets for Vets Cape Fear participated in the annual Battleship Splash event held on Saturday, May 4th in Wilmington, NC. We were happy to be a part of this event, sponsored by The Dog Club of Wilmington, for the second year in a row.
