Town School for Boys

After researching several deserving organizations, the Town School for Boys’ Student Government chose Pets for Vets Northern California as their fundraising fair beneficiary. These kindergarten through eighth-grade students raised an astounding $3,000 that will help sponsor at least two Veteran-pet matches in our community and we could not be more grateful for or proud to have their support.

Chapter Director Dana Barrow had the pleasure of meeting some of these fine young men when she attended a Pets for Vets Northern California donation presentation ceremony at the Town School for Boys. Sam, a shelter rescue and our chapter mascot, also had a wonderful morning with the students and was a perfect example of how the funds will help other shelter dogs find their forever homes with Veterans.

Our thanks and sincere gratitude to the Town School for Boys’ Student Government, teachers, staff, students and parents for honoring our organization. Thank you, too, to the young man who dropped off a handful of cash at the end of the assembly. We appreciate everyone’s kind generosity.

Center for Spiritual Awareness

Thank you to the Center for Spiritual Awareness for the generous donation. Your gift helped Pets for Vets positively impact the lives of Veterans and shelter dogs.

Girl Scouts of Northern California – Crossroads Service Unit

Thank you to Laura Wilson and the Girl Scouts of Northern California - Crossroads Service Unit for the amazing donations they raised for our pups at the Paws-a-Palooza! - Scouts on Skates Event.

Our dogs love their new chew toys, frisbees, bowls, leashes and collars and our Veterans are thankful for these items and all of the other goodies these fantastic young people provided through their donations. We are sincerely grateful for their efforts.

Pet Food Express Employees

Victoria, an employee at Pet Food Express, contacted us a few months ago offering to set up a donation bin at her store in Pleasanton, CA. She explained that she had been raising money for dogs serving in Afghanistan but since that money was no longer needed, she wanted to continue to help Veterans and felt that Pets for Vets Northern California was a perfect fit.

She and her team of dog-loving employees raised over $250 and donated a bunch of toys and balls for our Welcome Packages. Big thanks to Victoria, Arianna, Casey, Tom and Noah. We can't forget Chuck the dog, who was found abandoned and is now being fostered by one of the employees and looking for his forever home.

If you live or work in the area, please stop in and thank these big-hearted, community-focused employees.

The Walther Foundation

We thank the Walther Foundation of San Francisco, CA for its generous grants and support. These grants helped establish Pets for Vets Northern California and also funded Veteran-pet matches.
