Fallen Saints MC Hosted
Dog Days of Summer Charity Ride
The Fallen Saints MC Ft. Williams Chapter hosted a Dog Days of Summer Charity Ride. The club is centered on riding to represent the fallen soldiers who have paid the price for freedom. In July the club raised $400 for Pets for Vets and presented our chapter director Tom with a check.
Next year they hope to raise double the amount!
Falmouth Fest and Old Home Days Celebrate their 300th Anniversary

Falmouth Fest and Old Home Days on Saturday, May 26th. Pets for Vets, Portland, ME will have a table at the event to help celebrate the 300th anniversary of Falmouth, ME! Veterans and their families will get in free.

Pet Rock in the Park
Pet Rock in the Park featured live music from the Time Pilots, Girls Just Want to Have Fun and The Substitutes, as well as animal demonstrations, food vendors and pet products and services. Other nonprofits, as well as animal shelters and rescue organizations, participated.
Paws for a Cause
Paws for a Cause is Coastal Humane Society‘s 5K, Walk and Festival for shelter pets. This event featured live music, food trucks, a “Meow-mosa & Drooly Mary” post race tent, doggy demos, a Vet for a Day booth, an Amateur Best in Show award, face-painting, a photo booth and much more!
Pets for Vets Portland was thrilled to have a table at this fun event and to have the opportunity to share more information about what we do and why we do it.
Full Moon Margarita Madness
At this event, Margarita's Portland donated 5% of all bar and lounge sales to our organization.
Duck Puddle Campground Fundraiser
We were invited to Duck Puddle Campground on Lake Pemaquid in Nobleboro, ME for their second-annual “Chili” Dip for the Dogs. This event, organized by the lovely Pam St. Jean, raised over $1,600 and the biggest fundraiser was Chet Sprauge (who beat his personal fundraising goal).

Noche Mexicana Fundraiser
IDEXX Summer Shindig and BBQ
Pets for Vets Portland attended IDEXX’s annual Summer Shindig and BBQ, where our organization received a generous gift of over $1,000! IDEXX raised the money through various events including poker and bubble soccer, as well as a portion of refreshment sales and raffles.
Sea Dogs Game to Support Pets for Vets Portland
As part of their goal to support the military, the Portland Sea Dogs hosted Pets for Vets Portland during a recent game. Tom, our Chapter Director, joined Jesse and Jeremiah to throw out the first pitch. Thanks to the Sea Dogs and all who attended for their support!
New England Commandos of Comedy
Pets for Vets Portland would like to thank Ian Stuart and his fellow comedians Tuck Tucker, Nick Lavalle, Joe Richio and Paul Hunt for the great show at the Gold Room in May! They raised nearly $400 for our organization.

Pet Life Hosts Pets for Vets Portland
Our thanks to Desiree Boivin, the Assistant and Event Manager at the Pet Life store in Scarborough, ME. On Saturday, November 16, 2013 she provided space for Pets for Vets Portland to set up a display at her store.
Tom Targett, our Chapter Director, enlisted his wife, Mary Etta Ross-Targett and sister, Heather Targett, to help distribute information. They generated a lot of interest.
