A Pets For Vets Match Story

Chuck and Scout

Meet Chuck and Scout. We fell in love with Scout the moment we met her. After Scout’s time with her wonderful foster family, Lori and Steve Mazzola, she was ready for her forever home. Placing Scout with Chuck was meant to be. After having Scout for one night, Chuck said “she is my dog”. Chuck takes Scout everywhere and their favorite thing to do is hiking. Chuck always exercised but having Scout makes him walk more frequently, both of them benefitting from the fresh air and exercise they are getting. Scout calms Chuck’s PTSD and anxiety. Scout loves people and dogs. She loves to play but knows when to settle in with Chuck and be there for him. No one can replace a dog but Scout has helped Chuck get over the grief he had from losing his last dog. “She is the perfect match for me, Thank you. Chuck"
