Lenny and Kaye

Lenny, a Veteran of the Korean War who suffers from PTSD, reached out to the DC chapter of Pets for Vets to help him find an animal companion that would ease his loneliness. After weeks of searching rescues and shelters, Lenny was matched with Kaye, a 5-year-old Lab. It didn’t take Kaye long to make Lenny’s life better. “I feel different already,” he said on the first day they met.
