A Pets For Vets Match Story

Mac and Lucy

I want to start out with a special thank you to Pets for Vets for my amazing dog Lucy! She has been such an immediate best friend. I was thinking to travel and moved into my camper. For health reasons I had to delay my travels and my doctor suggested a dog. I reached out to PFV and even though I am out of range for the Southwest Indiana chapter, the trainers decided to work with me.

Then came the exciting phone call that my dog was ready. I got a wonderful gift basket but all I really wanted to do was love on my new dog. We now go everywhere together. She’s my errand buddy, my walking buddy, my sleeping buddy, my TV buddy... Any time I move she looks at me wondering if we’re going. During this Covid 19 lock down I have not been lonely or depressed. Lucy is always by my side.

I am now looking to buy a home so Lucy and I have more room and she will be able to run in the fenced backyard. My life is so much more fulfilling now that I have Lucy.

I wouldn’t take a million dollars for her - she’s worth the world to me.
Thank you so so much!
