A Pets For Vets Match Story

Buster and Snowball

JAMES E. LINDSEY
U.S. ARMY SPEC. 4
VIETNAM 1966 - 1967

I recently visited with Buster and his wife to place his Therapeutic Interactive Pet. Buster Lindsey is a 73 year old U.S. Army veterans who drove a truck carrying ammunition, troops, cargo, water and building materials in Vietnam. He contacted lung cancer and bone deterioration from Agent Orange. Buster is a 100% disabled Army veteran. First I showed Buster the cat. I turned it on and showed him how to make it work. As soon as the cat meowed he started to grin and in no time the cat was purring and turning over in his lap. He named it Snowball. Buster also has a real cat but Snowball is now his favorite.
