Cherish and Teddy

My name is Cherish and I am the recipient of a Pets for Vets dog named Teddy.

He has been with me for about three weeks and been an absolute joy. I could not have asked for a more perfect companion. We can sit for hours and just relax or nap in the chair or go out for long walks. One look from those big brown eyes and everything else melts away.

Teddy has restored a bit of calm in my world that is otherwise very busy and chaotic. Teddy is a blessing in my life and I thank Pets for Vets every day for matching him and me together.

Everyone at the Southwest Indiana Chapter, from the very first meeting, was wonderful. They ask a ton of questions to ensure they can find the perfect companion for each Veteran but it is more than worth it. They take their time to get to know each person and what they need or want in a companion.

This program is one of a kind and a blessing to those privileged to be a part of it.
