Aldaberto served six years in the 4th Army Regiment and was stationed in Korea, among other locations. He received many medals and commendations for his service. He attended Arizona State University and received B.S. and Master Degrees and now teaches sixth graders in a Mesa Elementary School.
On March 28, 2016, Aldaberto was matched with his skilled animal companion, Ranger. The two were the first-ever match for the Phoenix chapter of Pets for Vets.
