Darrell and Scout

Darrell was in the Army from 1953-1955.He is a Korean Veteran and served 2 Christmases in Korea. Honors include: Sharpshooter, Good Conduct Metal, United Defense Service Metal, United Nations Service Metal, Korean Service Ribbon and Special Training 101st Airborne Division.  He is always proud of his time in the Army and being able to serve his country.

Darrel was privileged to go to Washington DC on an Honor Flight in April 2016.
Veterans were honored in November 2019 with a permanent veteran display on the wall at Woodmont Healthcare, where Darrell resides.

SW IN chapter placed a robotic dog with him which pleased him greatly. He has named his dog Scout and enjoys having his dog with him.

Our family would like to send a very special thanks to this fine organization for such a special gift.
